Your child's key worker.
Every child will be assigned a member of staff as their key worker. This staff member will be the person who holds the parents meetings for you and your child to discuss development, tracking and targets. They will get to know you both extremely well in order to best understand and meet your child's needs.
They will keep a record of observations they have made and document your child’s progress. This understanding will help them plan learning activities based on your child’s individual interests and needs.
You will receive verbal updates and written summaries about how well your child is progressing in their learning and development.
As a parent, if there's anything you want to discuss or anything you're worried about, you can talk to your child's key person.
Although at Hollingbury Park we follow a key worker program, we are a small setting so each member of staff has a strong knowledge and understanding about every child in the setting. We hold staff meetings across the year, where we all discuss every child's progress and development as we feel having multiple opinions builds a stronger picture.
